Welcome to Second St! We are parents just like you, joining forces to make Second Street JMS a better place your child and for the whole community. Here are just a few of the ways we helped last year -- join us and we can do even more together!

• Raised $22,307 for school buses for field trips, extracurricular clubs, sports team jerseys, and more

• Brought the community together with a Spring Social 

• Gave parents a break from lunch duty with Pizza Days and Subway Lunches

• Started a Weekly Forecast on Facebook and Instagram to keep parents up to date with school happenings

• Advised and provided feedback to the principal, vice-principal, and staff on the School Travel Planning project, new playground, and other school initiatives

• Coordinated a thank-you breakfast for school staff

• Organized volunteers for the Art Expo and to decorate for various school activities: Halloween Dance, Winter Concert and Grade 8 Grad

• Organized garden events for students including making nature inspired flags using recycled sheets for Earth Day, a planting day, and making stepping stones for the garden space
